Photographing the problem — one lorry at a time
We are collecting photographs that illustrate the problem of HGVs using Bungay’s narrow streets.
Some of the lorries shown may be legally allowed to travel through the town, particularly on the permitted south-to-north route. Others may be contravening the Traffic Regulation Order. The purpose of this gallery is not to target individual drivers, but to build a clear evidence file showing the scale and impact of the problem.
HGVs photographed in places where they shouldn’t be — driving the wrong way through the TRO, or down streets they’re prohibited from. All number plates are redacted before publication.
These lorries are likely on the permitted south-to-north route or making deliveries — but still too big for our narrow roads and too close to pedestrians, pushchairs and dogs.
